It wasn't always as easy for us to capture photographs of our cars when some of us started driving...Where are the photos folks?!

2 posts? Surely you haven’t had more than 30 cars.Well, I’d have given you more if the forum didn’t have a limit!
(Totally not on me buying too many cars)

Mine are mostly on a knacker off board HD, one day I’ll have to send it out to a lab and see if they can do a recovery.Where are the photos folks?!

Hello. I bought a used car recently, and while it runs great, I keep wondering about its past. The seller seemed legit, and I didn’t notice anything suspicious, but now I’m just curious—has anyone here ever checked into a car’s history after they already bought it? I guess I’m just wondering if I should be digging deeper or if I’m overthinking it. What do you guys think?Would need to search through the ol’ shoe box storage system for photos of most of these
MINI 850 (mum’s hand-me-down)
Mk1 Golf 1.3 basic (great 1st proper driving memories)
Fiat Cinqucento (Sporting!) (Inbetweeners yellow)
MINI Cooper 998 (not worth the extra £££ over a basic one)
MK2 Golf GTI 8V (meh.)
Hillman Imp (sweet fun machine)
106 Rallye (ph2) lightweight and very fun
Sunbeam Stilletto (tuned and loud)
Fiat X/19 (best steering EVER!)
Alfa GTV (basic 2.0) (looked good but very ordinary to drive)
BMW 2002 (tii) (looked good but very ordinary to drive)
DC2 Integra (mad engine (obvs) - kind of similar vibe to GR86)
Cayman S (nice balance but too quick for fun)
SAAB 900 (old skool turbooo) check at carvins.net
MINI Clubman R55 (much fun - miles better handling than an R56)
GR86 (probably the best all round compromise so far as a daily drive - fun, quick enough, good looking enough, feels good, and almost efficient!)
My GR86 is the first ‘pre-owned’ car I’ve ever bought and its history was unremarkable; trailered from dealership by original owner, stored in his retail unit, then bought by me 9 months and 37 delivery miles later when he advertised it on Auto-trader still with all of its protective bits in place .
I don’t think a deep dive into history is that important (same could be said for partners) - just enjoy what you have whilst you have it.
