GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Hearing production has slipped a month, so dealer demos to the UK were June/July, now potentially July/August. No idea if this is UK specific, but wouldn't be surprised if everything slips a few weeks given they are all built on the same line.

Exactly same as mine in Italy. Got just an order confirmation via email and Whatsapp, but in MyToyota still nothing under "Ordered cars".

That's not good news, since I'm pretty sure your guess is correct, that the delay will likely be a general one.
What I see from my contract is that Toyota stated the end of the year as the only clear deadline for the delivery of the car, so I'm guessing all the cars will be delivered through this Fall in a rush to avoid trespassing the end of December (the same that happened last year for the Mk1 with the last batch of deliveries).

And that "clear deadline" just means that you can get your payment back.
 
Buying a Toyota GR product does seem to require the buyer to be very patient and not expect much information. In the U.K. add in the lack of a dealer and it can become an exhausting process. My experience of say BMW M cars via a top dealer was seamless the GR86 was a trial of endurance as to the Yaris we shall see!!

Yes, exactly like that. And they know you won't give up to your order even if you have to wait a few months beyond the final deadline.
The only thing that could make Toyota hurry with delivering all the current batch of ordered Mk2s by the end of this year could be the annual emissions targets.
I'm sure they won't have any car from 2024 planned sales adding its emissions to the 2025 actual sales, and I guess it's the same reasons why they rushed to deliver the whole final batch of Mk1s within December 2023.

Information providing hasn't ever been the best quality by Toyota through the car sale process (even worse for GR cars), I agree...

I keep looking at it but Yes I think that’s right struggling with the price let’s see what the final total is with paint wheels etc etc. would need to buy for cash as finance rates likely to be too high
 
Just remembered an interesting thing about GRY in Lithuania that dealer told me. He said that Toyota did not cap MK2 orders for Lithuania and they can order as many as they like. So guys, if you want LHD MK2 for around 50K - Lithuania got you :D they are accepting pre-orders currently
 
Some dealers are struggling to sell MK1 GRY from showrooms too, there seems to be little demand for such car( in LT). Everybody I know wants a audi, vw or bmw SUV.

The email I got from Toyota about the MK2 has prices including paint.


"Model shown is MY24 New GR Yaris Manual £44,890 including optional metallic paint at £640. Prices correct at time of being published."

This could be a good opportunity for some who had been on waiting list and wanting a LHD one in other European countries.

Same here. Main dealer here in Tallinn has had a brand new povo pack on sale for 36k euro (31k GBP) for last 6 weeks along with 4 Circuit packs at unknown price. 1 in show room, and 3 sat outside with protective shipping stickers still on them.
 
For anyone who has ordered already, I wonder if you have an order number and if you mind sharing (PM if you prefer). Mine ends with 361 and I wonder if that is my place in the queue or something else...

Mine ends with 00036, so if it really is related with some kind of order in a queue, I guess it's a different list country by country (Italy, in my case).

663 here, and as I live in Belgium and we had the first 150 orders in Europe. So if it is sequential, it doesn't say anything without Japanese order numbers...
