Indeed!
Also means there will be (likely) WRC teams that is not a manaufacturer, like in Rally Cross, and we will maybe then see more teams and a bigger sport

*the winner must sell their car for 600€ if someone offers it. In case several it's lottery.
 
Tempting idea to sell a house, and buy a white blank GR Yaris Rally2 car, set in to unrestricted WRC mode and start driving for WC 2025. ;)
In terminal situation this could be a perfect way to spend a last year on this globe

did an experimental calculation of intake limiter vs theoretical max hp that engine can give.
it appears to be quite accurate if we believe scoda motorsport that it claims the rally2 car to have 290hp with current 32mm limiter.
Calculation is based on fairly well build RX car dyno run with 46mm limiter, based on fact that max power is directly relational to intake surface area that defines the theoretical maximum value what amount of air engine can consume (which then defines the max power).

At the moment rally1 cars are running with 36mm limiter, which results max 370hp.

As GR Turbo inlet in stock form is 48mm(?) it is not much limiting factor for max power. of course the intake tract is not dimensionally perfect but should be good for +500hp still.
Slighly modified GR has similar or better engine performance with Rally2 car from 5krpm->, whereas rally car is likely much quicker in mid torque range from 3k to 5k.

Been to the WRC Croatia testing for the first time. I wish I got the info on time previous years, it's freaking awesome - many passes, very few spectators, not so strict marshalls. Couldn't stay long unfortunately, hope to watch again tomorrow and the day after.

 
Just booked my hotel for Secto Rally Finland. Making the pilgrimage north from Tallinn in my GRY. Any of our Finnish chapter heading to Jyväskylä?

Cool! A friend of mine has a family place on the Ouninpohja stage so maybe heading that way. Bit tight schedule for that weekend but try definitely prioritize the rally first.

Ideal place to have a home! I am just trying to work out my itinerary as I will have my 4 year old with me which will make it a bit more challenging haha. Staying in Jyväskylä centre to see the buzz of the first nights Super Special Stage and the service park.. and for me to spend a load of money on TGR merch. It will be my first Rally Finland.. its always been on my bucket list.
 
Went to check if it was possible to enter the service park already today. Turns out it was. Bought a GR hoodie my size instantly, last time they ran out of them by the time I arrived.

Tried persuading some Toyota WRT members to let me in and have a closer look, owning a GRY didn't help, they politely declined.
