Seems pretty standard. just make sure they have it at the depot before you go to avoid standing around like a mug a 7am having driven an hour to get there.

Had a proper nightmare experience with the windscreen.
Had a chip on the driver side of my windscreen on the third day of Goodwood FoS. Called national windscreen the following monday and booked it in (a week away). A day before the appointment I call National Windscreen to confirm appointment and I was told sorry the appointment is cancelled as they have not yet sourced the windscreen. New appointment for a week from then giving them enough time to get it from the dealer. Second appointment looming and I get a call from them again saying the windscreen was not yet ordered so appointment moved again. Guess what, a day before the appointment day, glass still not ordered.
Finally Autoglass came to the rescue and sorted it within a day. Currently being fitted and the car will be displayed at PH annual service on saturday.

AutoGlass more efficient in your area then! I'm still awaiting their call that they've sourced a screen after 6 days so I'll ring tomorrow.

Had mine done by Autoglass no issues you don’t need a new trim/rubber. Just had national booked on my MR2 after waiting a week the day before the appointment they sent a TXt saying they don’t deal with my insurer so it’s canceled. Got Autoglass on it and all done in a 3 days.This is where Trustpilot and Google reviews are your revenge weapons
Been waiting on AutoGlass nearly two weeks now. Phoned the 0330 number yesterday - helpful lady checked records and still 'on order' status.

Autoglass was definitely much more efficient where as National Windscreen were poop.

Add me to the list. I'm hoping it's repairable tbh. Happened today as I decided to use it for work as the swift needs 4 tyres. Typical. I know Autoglass without insurance want over £200 just for the repair. I'll check my policy tonight to see how it works.
Look at Halford's £40 deal - it's one thing they're good at and there's no insurance contact. Mine was too big - small chip but with 3ins crack - so I had to go to AutoGlass via insurance.

Apparently it's £25 for chips and £115 for full replacement. Only ever had one screen replaced years ago on insurance but was straightforward on a Fabia. This I want to avoid it I can as then it also means the faff of removing dash cam and the risks about fitting a screen. It is only a small chip I'm hoping they can fill.

Went through insurance who use Autoglass so we'll see. Only £25 and they'll come to work. This was interesting.

Chip repaired. It isn't perfect but a good 95% and isn't in my eye line. At least it puts off the faff of dealing with new glass, remounting the mirror and the dashcam.

Had a stone kicked up by lorry and hit my windshield two weeks ago. Phoned Auto Windshields as they are preferred contractors by my insurers. Technician's showed up on this Monday as per appointment only to realise they do not have new window trim as it comes as a separate part. I did not agree to reuse old trim in case is damaged during removal. They were understanding and contacted their manager whom checked with my insurance and moulding trim Toyota p/n SU003-08621 was ordered and covered by insurance. This Friday new windshield and moulding fitted. Well pleased with service, even though I had to wait extra few days to get all parts.

I got the dreaded stonechip last Friday. Only a small one just off centre and went to one of those Optic Kleer franchises at my local B&Q.
Did an absolutely amazing job. Still a tiny bit in the middle because it is a starburst crack but I only see it if I focus in on it. Doesn't get in the way of driving.
My 21 year old Saab 9-5 on 190k miles still on its original screen. Sometimes it is all just down to luck or the Saab screen is built like a tank.

Screens are now ‘soft’ to aid in absorbing more energy if someone is unfortunate to find themselves coming into contact with them (up to a certain velocity), the downside is they chip, crack and mark (sadly) too easily now. Go back 20+ years and screens were like batfink wings!!
