Reported to local dealer who tell me they have a few of these reported and have asked Toyota tech for support…
I’ve told them it’s likely just the seal in that area as it goes away when the inside of the triangle is pressed but they seem reluctant to replace without Toyota tech advising them.
Anyone else had this issue and the irritation of a dealer faffing about?

Yeah, I have had it from new, driver side only. RRG Macclesfield have been great in all other respects of servicing my car, but they haven't been interested in this even though I've mentioned it ahead of a few services. Apparently it's normal for frameless windows, which is frustrating when others have had the problem cured with a new seal.

My dealer were good at reporting it and getting the part. Problem though was with their stores department, they only keep bits for 2 weeks so as I was away they sent it back and said I had to start the process again. So I waited til the next service, photos taken and that’s the last I heard from them about 4 months ago! Can’t be bothered to chase as it’s them that should be providing the service.

It’s absolutely not normal for frameless windows tho.
The service dept said they might come back and say it’s a “feature” and i told them to specifically NOT accept that as it’s nonsense😂
Had loads of frameless windows ans no issues (incl my two previous GRYs)

I might have the same issue, LHD car, can hear a buzzing sound on the A pillar area in the right hand side zone when cruising in the motorway…

Hi,

Do you know the part code for the seal around the triangular piece?

My dealer said TGB are refusing to fix the noise under warranty, and have quoted over £200 to replace the "weatherstrip" - is this the correct part?

It is annoying, but I don't really fancy paying that much...

Thanks!

I get wind noise usually at high speeds around 60mph+ but no difference if I press the seals around the part people have mentioned

Mine starts around 35mph - pressing the lower part of the triangular piece does stop the wind

Mine’s the same as AK10TOY - makes no difference where I press the seals or the triangular piece. Folding the mirrors makes a brief difference as they are partly folded. So I think you’re possibly correct about the turbulence. I’ve owned half a dozen other cars with frameless windows and none of those exhibited this trait.

Mine's been like that since new, mentioned it to the dealer at every service, they haven't been interested, saying it's a feature of the frameless doors. I might also look at replacing myself tbh if you find it at a reasonable price.

The part number you quoted looks like it might be one of the roof strips after a quick google, rather than the door:
