Hi I'm new all. I don't know much wheels so I am asking can a 18x9.5 +40 fit on the yaris? And will be still be drivable without scrape? Thanks all

I’d think they would be tight or would need strecher tyre. Think Phil ran 9.5 on his rotheli racing one. 9” is popular with around that et and the arches are full

18x9 +39 would be better ay? i found 18x8.5 but wheel pcd is 5x120( idk what that is btw lols)

That is the pitch circle diameter and number of bolts. You need 5x114.3, 5x120 is bmw or commodore or others.

Edit: what are you trying to achieve? Tyres flush with the guards or just wider tyres? If I was starting again I would go 18x8.5 with 35-40 offset and run 235/40 tyres. When my yokos wear out I will fit 235s but the reduced offset gives a bit more track width and fill the guards. 245/40 is probably not legal depending on state regulations, not legal in Q and most states run similar words. 245/35 has less sidewall than 225/40.

Ah I see now. Think I'm just trying put new wheels without any scape or shit ride. Just dailying haha

In that case I would suggest either stick with stock or go for the 235/40 on an 8 or 8.5" rim at 35-45 offset. Have you picked a wheel style yet? Sadly not as much choice for us here in decent wheels. AMGAustralia do Ozracing, Sparoo and BBS. Enkei and Koya are other options. Depends on your wallet. I paid $550 each delivered for my Legerra hlt and #2 just bought some Sparco Asseto Gara for his XR4.

Hi. Unless you are a real rev head and want to get FTD at sprints hill climb etc just stick with the standard wheels and save some dollars for fancy track day tires . I use Dunlop Direzza 3s the control tire for the GT86 series and they do some Serious racing. I use these as daily drivers and they are fine except for heavy rain and standing water . They and many other trackday tires are quite good enough for my limited brain and car skills. My super driver mate drove
Me round considerably faster but I have a high sense of self preservation! I have used a set of regular Dunlop sports and the Michelin PS are very good but expensive . I got a set of the Enkei wheels that somebody was charging so have two sets .
