Sorry if this should be in the detailing thread, move if so.
Finally washed the stock wheels as I will put them on next week and noticed that there’s a fairly hefty chip in one. It’s on the inside so not fussed visually but is there anything I should seal it with before road grime inevitably gets in, even a clear (colourless) protective coat would do.
I’m sure there was a thread somewhere about Humbrol paint being the best match for the colour so could also try that to top up, but I remember the exact paint colour being tough to match. I’d rather not pay anyone to fix it.
That said, another option would be to get them all repainted in eg bronze as I don’t like the black wheels anyway, wondering if this would affect resale in future if nobody could match the original colour in future though?
