GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Bugger..

When I've compared it to GPS speed on phone or Dragy, I find the car speedo only over-reads by 1-2%, much less than older cars.

Be careful out there, peeps!
Yeah, I was also (pleasantly) surprised at how little deviation there is.

Bugger!

Annoyingly - no thanks to Google Maps - I genuinely thought I was in a 40 zone and was glancing confidently down at the speedo when the camera flashed. The speedo must over-read quite a lot, which is a good thing I guess.

Hopefully I'll get an awareness course rather than points 🤞
TBF the Road looks like it's safe enough to be a 40mph it's so wide wtf!?  :cautious: 👎

Totally! I'd been pootling along at 30 and started to think I must have missed the sign upping the limit to 40, glanced at Google Maps which erroneously agreed, but in fact it was still 30 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I think you should get a speed awareness course though depends on the force involved... apparently the threshold to get a speed awareness course is between 35-42 miles an hour in a 30.

I have no idea what happens if you get done doing between 31-34 mph in a 30 though. I guess for the most part they don't prosecute below 35? This would largely explain why nearly everyone done the road in front of me is doing 40mph in a 30mph though.

Nice picture though.

you should frame the picture

Fixed the only shortcoming on my Ulter exhaust, tips didn't align and no adjustability.

So aligned right, cut left and reattached with a clamp.

Then proceeded to give it a quick wash, looks great now.

Full review coming.

What did I do today? Well, I became impressed with the strength of the forged wheels after hitting a wayward lump of concrete on the road last night

The BANG! was enormous and I was sure I was going to be looking at a flat, knackered tyre and a bent or cracked alloy but no, the wheel looks perfect and while the tyre no doubt has some internal sidewall damage (it's nearly done anyway), it too doesn't show any external evidence of the trauma. It didn't even lose any pressure overnight.

Will swap a spare PS4S onto it today and run that until I put the winters on, and just have a look at the inside of the rim to check there is nothing untoward there.

Strong wheels!

There's a road near me with the odd bump in the road, it sounds horrendous in the yaris. There's one where I change lanes to avoid as it triggers the stability / traction control...

Just came back from a little evening drive in the Black Forest. The co-driver, an owner of a 991 GTS, was impressed about how capable the GRY is in the wet. It was perfect: late & wet, so no one else around…..😎

Decided to give the outside a temporary paint job, got distracted by someone, got in the car and slowly pulled out of a car park... make a nice turn, and hear a god awful noise, and think it's a mud flap or something. I then see a coffee cup tumbling in my passenger side mirror and coating my rear quarter, which I'd popped on there just before my distraction.

To be honest I'm surprised it even made it that far.
