GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Same here - the colour is nice. What size are they and you know the weight?
Yep. Borbet DB8GT2
They are 8,5x18 ET40. I haven't weighted them myself but officially it's 8,8 Kg. They are flow formed.

So not a huge difference to the OEMs 8,3 Kg. It was a huge criteria for me this time after I was so disappointed by the OZ Superturismo WRC which were so heavy with 11,5 Kg. I learned a valuable lesson there that design isn't everything.

What difference did you notice in practice with the added wheel weight?

Mine is finally back on the road and ready for winter after under sealing and swapping my wheels over for the Braid’s with Nordic tyres.

You're always the one to provide early insights about future iterations of the GRY.

First, you started the thread about the Mk2 and your speculation was proven correct.

Now, with the way the cars appear on your photo, you're suggesting that Mk3 will be an armoured vehicle :-)

I’ll take 2!

LOL - Hope the requirements will not go into that direction and we get to live an apocalypse free future and lighter GRs..!

Did some 10km of spirited driving on good familiar road - car is now quite spot on and with LFB its a bliss to throw around corners.
Too bad soon the cup2 needs to go off as winter is soon coming.

I’d love to hear more about how the Cup2 performs on this car. Would you recommend it for a completely stock setup?

Car just felt more sluggish overall. Steering was heavier and the car just didn't feel as eager to do anything. I also think I noticed bumps way more. I always have to drive from the walkway onto the road where I live and I felt that way more with OZ.
I didn't see it as a concern before buying them but now Im really paying attention to it.

it has been a while since I drove properly with PS4S but if remembering correctly cup2 has bit more direct feel.
Not maybe a big of a difference, depends what you're after. Of course its worse on full wet road but performs ok on damp if you are careful how you drive.
It might be tad noisier than ps4s but don't really notice it now being that noisy tyre.

Noted the other day the tyre shoulder is quite rounded with cup2 now but seems to work still fine. but it has a soft sidewall.

sorry not answering to your question but yes its worth trying out - it will give crispier steering and road feel.
Its worth setting up your alignment to be accurate and maybe to towards more sporty setup to get full benefit.

My car is stock in terms of chassis / suspension, just have some additional chassis bracing and dialed alignment.

Hi Michael, what additional chassis bracing have you gone for?
