GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Not much a weather to do any lap records but practiced LFB and feeling the car on limit. very fun session, and easy for the car. water temps stayed btw 80-90'C, and oil rose to 100'C. Tires didn't warm up at all so for the 20€ spent I'd say very good visit! Did some 15-20laps and then decided its good to head home as everything was still working and got to drive enough. Maybe will do another visit in few weeks because why not?

Car is now quite easy to get into slide/drift with trail braking in corner entry so wouldn't like to have any more "oversteery" setup. If car is understeering, practice your driving technique in corner before changing the cars setup.

Went to a trackday on Saturday too. Now with colder weather (around 10c) you can really feel the back end loose during breaking. Almost spun 2 times during the outlap, cold tires.
Had a lot of fun!

Same here, cars rear broke into slide (little too wide?) three times in corner entry
 
I went to my dealer last Friday to check the gearbox as I felt it was a bit scratchy. No noise, just feeling the gears change in my hand, espescially at low speeds (since it is my only car, can't push it all the time).
They litterally said to me that it was a common thing amonsgt GR yaris. My car is 1 year old and 13k km and I never had a gearbox feeling like this in any other cars.
I really hope that my gearbox will survive for a very long time as this is "normal".
At least I have a paper from them saying that they did not perceived anything. Let's hope this is enough in case there is a problem.

Mines been similar for 3 years now, notchy especially 1-2nd. Heard the same elsewhere, you can't rush the changes basically. Have heard of some warranty exchanges though too. Being kind its nice and mechanical, suiting the cars character! Will be changing the oil at next service, 24000miles/40k km.
 
rear front strut tower has a empty thread on the bulkhead side and it seemed to be gathering rust. Little path of bräkleen cleaned the thread, put little bit of vaseline there to protect it from rusting again.

These are not my pics, but identical setup.

I used the model intended for VW/Audi (SR16662 for RHD driver's harness in red), and the buckles and belt length were correct.

It removes in and out in a couple of minutes.

Talked to the new owner who is very happy with it, already did a trackday with it, now realised he should have dashcam footage of it too as the digital rear view mirror does that too.

And here he shows us in his job how to do a full detail on it:
