GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

I won't lie. I have never actually done anything like that. Never found the time or motivation for it. But I have been thinking about it for a while. Especially after seeing some photos of other members here doing it. I think it would also do wonders for appreciating the car in its full glory.

We don't get much snow here but last winter we had a bit for a few days and it was some of the most fun times I ever had with the car. So maybe a trip to the Alps sometime?

I go on a few small and one bigger road trip every year with my brother and our dad. It has become a tradition. It's a lot of fun to enjoy our cars together.

We're going to Lysebotn this august:

Unless you're planning on putting something else into that empty bottle, no need-- the compressor does fine without a bottle.

Relatedly, if you get a chance to take a picture of the stock routing of the inflator hose, like the way it's routed/stowed from the factory, I'd appreciate it.

Wow. What an incredible sight.
Im admittedly more of a stay at home guy but stuff like this make me think that Im really missing out on some things and should give it a go too.

Nice! On older Toyota pumps, like for my Aqua, it requires putting the bottle on the pump, as air passes through it. Your comment had me pull the thing out of the bag, and the hose will plug directly into the port where the sealant plugs into. So you are correct that the bottle isn't even needed. Thanks.

Yeah, I was pleased to discover that. I keep a plug kit in the car and the sealant lives on as a plan B.

Installed the Giacuzzo rear spoiler. I always felt the car was missing one. I mean the roof line was designed with a WRC Spoiler in mind but only the special editions seem to all get one.

Really happy with the result. It really changes the look of the car but it's not overblown either. It's kinda OEM+

Looks great! Did you happen to notice the OEM wing/spoiler part number when installing the Giacuzzo part?

No, I have not. You don't need to remove anything while fitting the Giacuzzo one since it's just glued on. I am a bit curious though where the OEM part is price wise.
 
The spoiler is dead easy to remove. Remove the round bungs under the hatch and the oblong one in the centre. Undo the nuts. Pull out and disconnect the electrical cable under the oblong plate. Then give the spoiler a sharp pull from both ends to release it as it has plastic sprung lugs holding it as well. Pretty sure part numbers are moulded in underneath.

Yep - if anyone is getting bored or complacent with their GRY, spend some time driving a normal car for a while then come back to it! Just spent the week on holiday only driving our family Audi A4, got back and within the first few hundered meters on the first drive to shops in the GRY I'm reminded why I love it :cool:
