GR Yaris Warranty status on wind noise from seal

Sure I remember somebody on here mentioning that they had the seal on the drivers side rubber seal replaced at a dealership. My car is due for a service in a couple of weeks and I’m going to raise this as the noise has gotten noticeably worse recently.

Are dealers now accepting of the fact that this is a warranty issue and happy to replace it? As it’s a bit of a drive, be good if I could have everything sorted in the one visit, thanks.

My seal was replaced by dealership. Made zero difference - infact marginally worse perhaps. The seal won't fix it.

Thanks. Funny that just over a year later I’m still wondering about it. I’m certain it got worse and noticeably so, the dealership says it’s just due to frameless windows which is rubbish since my other car has them too and there’s no issue. I’ve pretty much given up and sounds like from your experience that’s all you can do.

Yep, similar teflon dealer response here. In fact they said they needed two identical cars in at the same time to verify that it was an issue with mine. Which of course is nonsense. Agreed, it's not inherent with "frameless windows".

I also had the window seal replaced under warranty about a year ago before my warranty recently ended and couldn't notice any difference whatsoever.

The issue began a couple of years ago, one day it just sounded windy from the front triangle area. So yeah I agree that something else is at fault here and I also don't know what to do next except live with it.

I've made peace with it now after 5 years.... sometimes it's there and sometimes it is not....
