I normally machine polish and ceramic coat my cars, but this is my first vehicle with a vinyl-wrapped section.
I’ve noticed a few spots on the vinyl that don’t seem to come off with my usual cleaning products, such as car shampoo or a waterless wash/quick detailer. Does anyone have any recommendations for safely removing light stains from the surface?
I’ve seen some information online suggesting the use of stronger citrus-based cleaners on certain black vinyl wraps, but I wanted to ask here before trying anything more aggressive.
If I can get the stains removed, I’m also considering applying a ceramic topper to the wrap afterward.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried anything like Gtechniq's Water Spot Remover? It's both coating and vinyl safe. The car will require a re-wash after using to remove any remaining chemical.
Instructions from their website state:
  • Use after washing and drying your car
  • Do not apply in direct sunlight
  • Shake well and wear gloves
  • Spray liberally onto a clean Gtechniq MF1 ZeroR Microfibre Buff Cloth, wipe onto an area no bigger than 2ft x 2ft (60cm x 60cm)
  • Buff immediately with a clean MF1 cloth
  • Repeat as necessary
  • Re-wash your car after use
  • Store in a cool, dry place
