Most cars start to show signs of corrosion/deterioration on underside fairly quickly especially when salt is used on roads.

I have used Lanoguard in past as seems to go on easily and does not set hard, but does need periodic reapplication.

It is also quite expensive, around £100, but can be a diy job and also used in marine applications to protect parts.

I have ordered some Fluid Film to try, which is more common in US and is also lanolin based.

Whilst only considered cosmetic, I do like to preserve the newer appearance of suspension and underside.

Would be interested in others experience.

I was looking at Lanoguard but Bilt Hamber also have a 5 litre which is a bit cheaper but how is it applied?

Only used Dynax from an aerosol - simple application (in fairness, I've only used it on bikes)
From their website

Aerosol Dynax-UB:
Large 750ml aerosol, comes with standard spray head and straw attachment to get into nooks, produces professional ‘stippled’ finish.

1ltr Pail Dynax-UB:
Viscous formulation for application with brush or roller.

5ltr Jerry Can Dynax-UB:
Formulation for use with compressor and suitable spray equipment.

Have used Lanoguard on my GRY.
I initially bought the full kit including the hand spray bottle - but have never used that. I just use the gun that fits into the container of lanoguard. I also got the grease and did all of the nuts and sub frame. An hour later I then sprayed the whole underneith very thoroughly remembering to cover the bits that needed covering.
I used just under 1 litre for the whole spray. The rest I sprayed it again in it's second year in the Autumn and still had enough left to do my AygoX so 3 sprays from 2L.
The replacement 2L tub is £57 so I will get that soon for this Autumn and next years spray + the Aygo again so not too expensive overall.
My car has done 6K and looks like new underneith and yes it has been used when salt on the road but I rince the underneith. I recon I could do it every 2nd year and it would be fine. I think brushing the warm grease on first is probably the important bit. Not sure how long that will last but I did put it on thick.
I believe all products are good and will do the job and if done and kept up with I can't see why a car shouldn't last many decades (30 years at least) if rinsed each spring and all chips touched up. My RAV4 and Celica were 12 & 13 years old without a mark and very light surface rust and were untreated. What would they have been like treated?

I wanted to try some Fluid Film so bought a spray can to try.

It doesnt dry like Lanoguard and stays wet.

There may be some areas that this would be OK, but think I will go for Lanoguard.
