Not really sure if this is the right section to post, but just checking in to see and compare how everyone is doing in terms of tyre wear. I’m on 7k miles all on the road and down to around 3mm on the front and 2.5mm on the rear so replacing asap. The very inside of my front tyres are nearly down to zero but I kind of expected this having a bit of toe out and additional camber on the front. Would be interesting to see if this happens on a standard car too. PSI is 33 front and 29 rear. All tyres have more wear on both sides than centre.

My 3000 mile PS4S's sat in the garage have between 6.8mm and 5.2mm.
The front outer edge being the most worn.
Never had alignment checked and mostly driven on wet roads so no chance of overheating them.
Good lasting tyre compared to the crap Conti's I had on both Type R's. 5000 mile throw them away rubbish.
Running Good Year vector 4's for winter and I love them.

What sort of driving do you mainly do? I mean is it spirited hard driving or more of a daily? I am at 11k and have a lot less wear than that, but mine is used on my daily commute, so relatively minimal hard driving...

Difficult question to answer! I use it for all trips where I don’t need my van for space. I’d say I’m driving it normally for the way a GR should be driven, mostly on B roads, but one’s normal can be different from another.

similar mileage 8k and similar wear on inside front with 32F 29R (cold winter) and PS4S

I just had my wheels off today and after 6700 miles, 3 deg camber, probably 5 wet trackdays and one really hot one, my wear is getting low but front inner edge is worn off. I have rotated tires at times. Standard pressures. Not sure if I’m happy with that or not tbh. Maybe camber is too much for road.

What toe you have in front?

Mine is around 2.7-2.8 at the front and 2.2 at the rear and the wear is quite even. A bit of wear on the inside fronts but this looks like it is more down to a bit of toe out. Happy enough for the wear/handling compromise for the road.

I think fairly parallel, However it may be slightly in.. what’s your thinking Onehp?
Toe will affect wear just as much as camber. Or camber will reinforce wear from toe. Anyhow, both have a significant contribution...

I think 2.8 on the front, 2.2 on the rear with straight toe on the front and about 2mm on the rear is a good place to start!

UPDATE: my car was setup to crash🤦🏻‍♂️! Had my car into RRG Macc yesterday to check and adjust my car. I was speechless at the check results! RHS front had 4 deg of camber 🤔
LHS front had 1.2 😳
Track wasn’t too bad.
Unsure of how it came to be so far out as it’s been on a Hunter machine twice before and was set to 3 deg, no toe front and slight at rear.
Thanks to RRG guys for there patience and tenacity in dealing with my “nipped up” bolts😜

What did they set it to?

6.5 front and 6 rear, at the 6k mile service. Hard wearing Dunlops.

I've had my circuit pack since March last year and now showing 12.5k miles.

At the second service interval, just under 12k, I got a phone call from my local dealer with an attached video showing both fronts worn down to the canvas on the inside edges. (I'd visibly checked the treads and knew that replacements were soon to be due; 3.2mm on each, though obviously I hadn't checked carefully enough!) The car is completely standard and has never, yet, been on a track although it does get some spirited B road skelps as often as I can. :)

I asked the dealer if they could offer an explanation for this 'unusual' wear pattern; they couldn't, so I had them carry out an alignment check (£119+vat) and, because of supply issues had them fit two new tyres. The alignment check showed pretty well everything as 'acceptable' and only minimal adjustments were made. (PS4's, as per original spec)

I've never heard a bad word said against PS4's
