Ok i give up, i have even read the manual but still it won't reset!

I had tyres changed recently and the garage reset the tyre pressures all good!

It was really cold when set and would then have a wobble on some journey's and would say that there was a fault but would always reset and be fine each journey...

But i decided i wanted to reset them to stop it from Malfunctioning, but now it just says it is locating each wheel!!

It has been locating them for a couple of days now, surely it has found them at each corner of the car!!

Any ideas or tips on a simple procedure to reset please??

Could you clarify your question a little?

Were you initially trying to stop the Tyre Pressure Warning System going into low pressure alarm warning? (For example on cold morning starts)
Or
Trying to set up the Warning System from the beginning?

The methods for doing so are similar and easy to confuse, and it's not possible to set the alarm point if the Warning System has not already been set up.

Trying to set up from the beginning again... it does not show any pressures

Thanks

I believe if you go into reverse during the locating process, it either resets or restarts the procedure, so worth keeping an eye on in case you start the process and then go into reverse as part of the journey.

I did not go into reverse, and the light blinks goes out and then never manages to reset, despite an hour or mores drive home at at least 25 mph for a good proportion of it!

Don't know how you are supposed to go straight(with occasional left and right turns) for 10-30 mins as suggested in the manual!! What planet was the bloke on who wrote that!!

It does sound odd. Mine's only failed once, but it gave an error message after 20 or 30 mins or so rather than hanging. I stopped and retried after and it picked them up. Not very helpful, sorry!

I’ve set up both new set (for winter wheels) and then reset them back when returning to the OEM wheels and following the procedure in the manual worked. 5-10min reset both times. You do have to make sure other wheels aren’t nearby, that you don’t go into reverse. The manual is very specific about the procedure from ignition to the settings menu so just check you’re following exactly what the manual states.

I think i am, having just re-read it.

One point when it says turn "Turn the engine switch to ON." Do i start the car or reset with the engine off?

I have been starting the car but not moving....

Mine just does not reset, no warning to say it has failed just does not set...

I do not start it until I'm ready to go, I reset them every time I put the trackday tires on or when I rotate any of them.

Ok i am at a loss now... i have tried setting it with engine off and engine on!!

Light blinks goes out and off i go... and sometime later(length of time varies) in my hour or so commute the light starts flashing and malfunction comes up!

I will report it next time it is on for a service

You need more patience i believe. Start the procedure once more and then you just drive. I had the same problem.
Then i reached the point where i said "f**k this, i dont care anymore". And then somehow it finally showed me my pressures again after a few hundred of kilometers. This dont have to be one driving session.
