GR86 Toyota Servicing with GR induction kit - Warranty?

Hi All,

My car will be due it's annual service and want to preserve the 10 year warranty.
Normally I take out the KN aftermarket induction kit but now that I have Toyota's GR induction kit can I safely leave it in without affecting warranty if it's a genuine Toyota part?
Have presumed I won't need an air filter so I could ask them to knock the price down, or if it's included just to give me the new air filter?

Anyone had any experience yet, or should I just change it back to stock.

I told the Toyota service centre that I had the GR Performance intake fitted before the service. They didn't comment on it but I am pretty sure it will be on the cars record now.

I would say, like all warranty questions, you only find out for sure if you need to make a claim on anything engine related.

No idea about the cost, I am on a service plan.

I've had mine done with the intake filter. To deny something on the warranty they would have to prove it had something to do with it, and as a genuine toyota part that's a (very) hard argument on their part.

I too had my Yr3 service and MOT completed at (Hamilton) Toyota with all of my mods fitted including the TRD Performance Air Intake, Big Brake Kit and Cobra Sports non-resonated Cat-Back exhaust. The pre-service inspection video commentary noted the K&N filter and that it wouldn't be changed, along with "a very nice Cobra exhaust, all fittings in good condition with no leaks".
You'll be fine with the TRD air box, it's a Toyota part.
