looks like lots of parts that were released as GRMN special are now available at least in JPN.
For rally use also that underbody protection kit and rally(?) suspension looks interesting..
wonder what that 4wd ecu does.. ?
 
I saw a Japanese video a few years ago saying the GRMN parts would go on sale once the GRMN run was finished so seems like that’s the case. The seats look great, just need to find a way to import them.

Still feel Toyota have missed a trick not offering GR parts elsewhere in the world 🤷🏼‍♂️.

"A competition 4WD control ECU developed with professional drivers for each stage of tarmac and gravel. maybe its more rear biased then than stock.

Or maybe more "neutral/less synthetic", as steering angle, speed, etc. are included in the calculations with the standard module.

Possibly with this module the car reacts more like with a purely mechanical center-diff.
This would make the car more predictable, as it always reacts in the same way, independent of multiple "other" factors, which is important for rallying (especially on gravel, snow and ice).

For the "normal driver" this would allow less electronic assistance, hence it is probably not installed as standard.

Just to point out, the website says 'seat' the picture shows 'a seat' and it's £2k converted from yen!

I think shipping that thing would be a nightmare, the description explicitly mentions it has airbags.

Also suggests it's driver side only?

Wheel is interesting, looks like it's possible to retrofit the other buttons (the pictures show it blanked off but other in car shows all buttons present)

That said, I don't think it's price is right, it's down at £270? Can't even get a second hand one on ebay for the normal car for less than £600?

I think the price is correct.

Taking the price of the gear knob and wheel and adding 80% is coming to the same prices available in the UK so that additional money will be shipping, handling, customs, VAT and some profit for the importer.

So the seat expect £3,600 delivered UK
 
Would this be the price for the full kit? Ready to be intalled? Does anyone know if slides are fixed or pivoting?

It is an interesting offer, because the whole installation can be considered as "from factory", which makes a big difference for certain arduous countries (like mine typically) when it's about to be homologated or inspected.

Airbag is definitely an argument for road safety. All in all, price seems decent.

The seat is with airbags and rails and says fitted in around 50 minutes.

Price is a single seat.
 
Somebody ever seen those Recaro pole positions(?) with side airbags available somewhere else? Can’t seem to find anything comparable direct from Recaro.

If Toyota only sells a RHD drivers side seat then it’s pretty useless to me.
