GR Yaris Tie rod? (Front offside.)

A week or so ago, on wet sheet ice and at no more than 10mph, I managed to slide into a kerb. :mad: Damaging my wheel and knocking the steering wheel off-centre. There's now a distinct vibration at around 70mph and upwards.

The damage to the wheel looks minimal but given that the steering wheel now sits off-centre I suspect that I've knocked and bent the tie rod.

Anybody on the forum suffered anything similar? And how easy/costly was the repair?

Notice the date of the service.

The accompanying video assured me, in fact actually showed me, that there was nothing untoward with the steering or front suspension. I hadn't reported the vibration. Hmmmmm.

So the shop drove your car at +70mph, discovered the vibrations, replaced all compromised parts and did an alignment, all for £295.

Best workshop ever, you're good, no need to heed any advice from here.

No that's some assuming on your part, while taking liberties with presented facts, then just made your own up and then took your ball in like some shandy drinker.

A vibration points at an out of balance scenario. If the tie rod was bent, then that would just pull the steering off centre. I would have the wheel run up on a balance machine.

I wasn't looking for a fight/argument, just some helpful advice - which you kindly supplied. Appreciated.
