The roads weren’t sopping wet on the way home, but very greasy - full throttle away from a roundabout in second even had an Up! GTI breaking traction!

Love the Up GTI, makes me question the shift to electric and hybrid vehicles. Without manufacturer penalties our roads could be full of these; durable, desirable, small, efficient, lightweight.

Prices for second hand Up, Fiesta, 500, Corsa are 8%-12% above 2022 values and the trend is for owners to keep their cars [ICE] longer - average age of the UK vehicle parc has risen to over 9 years [6.7 years in 2005].

Only the Chinese are making small affordable EV’s.

European car manufacturers and regulators have lost the plot - we aren’t just losing choice, we’re losing manufacturing capacity. Nuts!

I adore that Up!. It delivers 60+mpg when driven with care, yet it makes a hilarious noise and is fun to fling about. The standard tyres are rubbish, mind, and it runs out of damping when pushed - I’ve got PS5’s and KW V1’s planned for it.
