For those of you who have multiple sets of wheels, is it a myth or true that the car can remember two sets of TPMS? I saw this mentioned before but am unsure?
The reason I ask is that my car was originally paired with a set of TPMS of course. I then added my winter wheels which had another previously activated set of GR Yaris TPMS. This spring I popped my standard wheels back on, all using the dashboard learn function, all working fine.
I’m now waiting for an aftermarket set of summer wheels (18x8.5) , with the choice of taking the standard 225/40 PS4S and TPMS off the CP wheels, knowing they’re already paired, or getting a third set of TPMS, some 235 tyres, and potentially entering a whole world of pairing pain.
I do have Carista, but I don’t have any TPMS cloning gizmos.
So, three into two doesn’t go, or is each set treated like a new one each time you go through the learning process? Thoughts?
