GR86 The number plate thread

I’ve seen something that the money I‘ve got tied up in GR66 ZOO would come in handy for , open to offers, any interested send me a PM 👍

Long shot but does anyone know the part number of a European wide plate mount as per the Swiss one above? Or has one they can measure for me and/or want to sell?

I saw white GR15 Z00 in the flesh at the weekend in Berks - not sure what level of privacy you guys stick to so won't post more details/pics.

To the owner, congratulations on 2 things:
1. It looks stunning in white and clean
2. Your algorhythm for finding the safest/remotest space in a car park is very tidy - can't believe I didn't park mine next to it and take a shot.

I finally got my V750 certificate, so it's time to order the plates, and looking for some recommendations. I went with 5 character long reg, so putting 330x111 plate up front and the smaller bracket. But what do you think about putting a full size plate at the back? Wouldn't it fill the space better? Did anyone go for this?
Also, I'm looking for recommendations on what company to order the plates from

Yes same as you, have a 5 digit plate to install. Have ordered the Jap Spec front mount for a 330mm plate. It's the back I'm undecided on, whether to go standard length or 330mm. Has anyone pictures of a rear small plate attached?

Here's a picture from earlier in this thread:

Yup, same on the back;

Might put it a tad lower next time I wash it.

Personally I'm not sold on this look

I've got a Dateless 6 digit registration and I was thinking of splitting it over 2 lines (example; ABC/123). Wondering what the best size would be to cover the dimples; 13" x 8" maybe? That or go 'shorter' and put it a bit lower (must be 'legal' though) ... 1st world problems eh?

Bumping this. To confirm, the JDM bracket is SU003-09277 and I'd need 330x111 plates for it. If I go that size from somewhere like ProPlates, will they still be legal? Same size on rear too?

Edit: import size seems to be 330x165 if I'd have it over 2 lines.

Still not decided on a reg yet, although I know I'll have to tell Toyota Finance if I change it at this point. Also how are people removing rear plates without damaging anything? Mine are stuck on but weren't the best when they were new so want to change them anyway. Then what pads to use?

Warm the area with a hairdryer and use nylon fishing line to gently 'drag' behind the plate and separate the pads from the bodywork. After the plate is off, use something like Gtechniq Glue & Tar remover to get rid of residual gum. Finally, clean whole area with your usual detailing stuff. New plates I stuck on with 3M VHB tape.

330x111 is legal but only 5 characters will fit on. It fits perfectly on the short (SU003-09277) bracket.

Personally, I think this would look sick and definitely unique (in UK). Though you’d need the 330x165 plates for it

Here are my 330x165, older photos but might help visualise how big they are.

I used velcro to secure, no complaints, 100% isn't coming off without a person's input.
The bolts on the rear are just stuck on screw cap covers. Since then I've done velcro on the front as well.
The carbon lettering might be an issue, now I can swap to my usual plates without a fuss.

Love the carbon fibre accents on the bodywork. Wrapped?

Grazio-co, They purchase oem parts from the factory then refinish them for resale, not sure on the methods they use but can vouch for the finish. My favorite is the front grill refinished in factory d4s black. Cost a pretty penny but solves my one peeve, the dull plastics

Where did you get the grazio bits from?
