Hi,

Where did you get the carbon fibre fins from? Are they stuck on with3M tape or attached in some other way? Cheers.

Did anybody else get a plate close to their surname picked by Toyota? Mine is kind of close.

A friend bought a Jaguar many years ago and they gave him a plate that was a cut down version of his surname.

Many years back you could go through the garage sheet and pick your reg from the one’s allocated to the garage, but not yet assigned a car or owner.

On occasion I’ve had success with the choice of a batch of plates but I get the impression it really does depend on the dealership in question. You may have a compliant and helpful salesman but the gatekeeper will likely be the back office admin staff. If the responsible party is to put it bluntly a miserable battle axe who hates her job and the world in general you’ll likely get no traction.

Mine ends YFE which bears no relation to any names. My bike I got to pick 1 out of 7 so went GWY as Gŵyr is where I live and Gwyn in Welsh is white, which the bike is.

Chap on the phone from Toyota Buy Online told me my reg and basically intimated that I had no choice in it. I couldn't be bothered to push because I was so jaded with the experience anyway.
 
Mines random too. Don't really care, except that its a combination making for too many syllables which makes reading it out over the phone a complete mouthful, "double-you you, seventy two".
 
Toyota online sales asked me if I had a private plate to put on, which I didn't (well I do but its on another car) but it set a seed so I aquired GR73*** my three initials. It's nice having the service histroy and initial documents with you own plate on them!

I'd never had a new car before so it was nice to have a "current" reg for the forst time. - for about four months....
 
The last two letters on my number plate are my initials. Was pretty happy to have something personal on the plate but that also goes under the radar to the rest of the world.

Really like the on in back what is the bracket for it?
 
My last three letters are SXC which if you say it a certain way, describe me perfectly.

Edit: import size seems to be 330x165 if I'd have it over 2 lines.

Still not decided on a reg yet, although I know I'll have to tell Toyota Finance if I change it at this point. Also how are people removing rear plates without damaging anything? Mine are stuck on but weren't the best when they were new so want to change them anyway. Then what pads to use?

Bit of a bump from me. Did you end up with a 7 digit plate across 2 lines with 330x165 plates ?
