Just had it land…

Great News!
We are pleased to announce that customer deliveries of the highly anticipated GR86 will commence from 1st December 2022…and your car is in the first batch, anticipated to be delivered before Christmas!

Demos will be available from 18th November at any one of the Toyota GR Centres listed below should you wish to test drive before confirming your order. If you wish to finalise your order without a test drive, please do so by simply replying back.

Regretfully, due to limited supply, there are no Automatic GR86available to test drive and there are no demo models available in Northern Ireland.
 
The email also has a PDF of what to do if you do / do not want to proceed with your order

Yes great news! Can you share the list of GR Centres that are getting a demo?

Edit: Its OK, just found the list in another thread.
 
Still sounds like a mess to me though, not sure how they can say contact your GR dealer and book from the 18th if they only have 5 cars! Mad.

Yeah Bracknell said they still don't know when their car is coming and last I'd heard they had 15 orders so they'll need to work out what's going on at some point soon :ROFLMAO:
 
I rang Tunbridge Wells just now and they were very helpful but we agreed there's a good chance I'd have my car before they do. They're looking at the first week of December. They will let me have a go if they get it before I do though!
 
I almost feel bad wanting a test drive to win me over now considering how sold I was on it all originally. Good to see people aren't being held up by the test drives now though (y)

(no attachment on my email either, weirdly).
 
Had a meeting all morning where I was presenting something, heard my phone ping for an email while I was midsentence, got so excited I nearly lost my train of thought. Have had the email and replied now though. Not sure I'll even have time for a test drive, but not particularly bothered :)
 
Had a call from my dealer within 20mins of that email coming in. He could already see that I didn’t want a test drive (i replied to the email inside of 5mins) , so there’s at least some synching of systems going on within Toyota!

Just got my email and none with mine either.

Am only using basic gmail so can’t imagine its an anti virus thing.

Nevermind, told them no test drive, just give me the dam car already!

Yeah surely Toyota UK transport dozens of new cars over to here every week (every day?) - crazy they couldn’t include a GR86. So we’re expected to get a plane to England Scotland or Wales if we want a test drive?? Bad form…
