Hey all!
Very recently got my hands on a Gen 2 GR Yaris, MY 2024 / compliance 2025.
I'm trying to access certain OBD settings such as disabling ANC and ESE. I tried using my friend's OBD2 reader with Carista but it's missing a lot of options. Carista support says it's likely I don't have an ANC & ESE system in my car, but I'm almost certain I do, and all Australian models come with the JBL system.
I bought a Cheap J2534 (Mini VCI) cable off Ebay with firmware version v1.4.1 and it came with Techstream v18. Unfortunately I can't read any ECU data - all boxes are yellow and time out / are unavailable when trying to access them .
Has anyone has any luck with the Gen 2 GR Yaris & Techstream? Is this only programmable through Toyota's new online GTS software?
Extra: I got in touch with the dealer I bought the car from - they're not sure if they can do it, and want to charge me a consult / drive in fee of $300, and labour at $180 per hour to figure out of they can or not. This is why I'd like to explore other options first.
Thanks all!
