I have been pondering over getting some winter wheels and tyres for the GRY so that I might enjoy it during the winter months. That led me to start thinking about how low the car is to ground and deep snow being picked up by the spoiler.
Has anyone heard of raising the car's height with some adjustable coil-overs as opposed to lowering it?

I now live in a country that is covered with snow for months at a time. I have had no problem with snow being picked up by bumper whilst running stock suspension. The same with the forum guys from Finland to the North. The only thing I have had to deal with is when you get the moist snow sticking to the inner barrels of the wheels and causing imbalance.

Some off the off-road racers create a kind of a 'mud scraper' system from bits of thick plastic, to keep the weight off the wheels, I'm sure with some creative thinking, it could be a solution for snow!

My problem for collecting snow is when I am out playing scandi flicking and sliding corners or generally being a hooligan doing donuts and picking up snow in the wheels. Normal driving is never a problem

I think you’re over thinking it.

Grab some winter wheels and some cross climate 3 sports and get out there for a winter then work out if there’s an issue or not. These cars are great in the snow with the right tyres and no suspension changes.

Appreciate your honesty there. The only reason why I ask is that I live in Cumbria, UK and like perhaps Northern and Eastern Europe Europe we get a little bit of snow from time to time, however unlike those, we aren't really geared up for it up here and the roads are just generally gritted and not really cleared.
We had a bit of snow in January of this year and was out in my Ford Transit with snow chains - the snow was deep enough to be rubbing on the underside of that!
I have to say it's not like that every winter so I really may be over thinking it though.
Would be a bit mad to see a bit of a jacked up one though.

My car is lifted about 30mm all round. New suspension was needed to achieve this. Went for some coilovers from Finland, Bigem.
