Collected my baby today. The detailers fucked up with the roof, so ended up stripping it and treating it with ceramic as well. Suggested by @Kaxe ✌️

Took it home and moved the mirror, changed wipers and fitted mudflapz. I’m in love! Going to be hard not putting my foot down for 1000 km.

The people at the showroom was all stoked to see the car. Salespeople and mechanics came out the woodworks when I took it out. Think it was the first one they sold. Not 100% sure but seemed like it 🤣

Looks great mate! (y)
When mine goes in for its next detail I will remove the wrap too (as it bubbles in the heat anyway) and coat the roof!
Enjoy! 😁

In what way did the dealer f**k up the roof?

Ohh, and congratulation on a nice car and a good time ahead.

I enjoyed the break in period of mine, 2000km now 😀

Well, not the dealer but the detailer. Sent it to a third party detailer for prep.

They tried to ceramic coat the fake-carbon-film on the roof. It turned white or something and they couldn’t fix it.

So I had them call the Toyota dealer and check if removing it would effect warranty, because I could stand the thought of having to wait for a new one.

Luckily they said it didn’t matter, so I opted to remove it! Happy with my decision

I thought removing the roof wrap voiced your rust warranty for the roof?

What mudflaps did you fit mate? Also, what's the brown coating behind the wheel in that first photo?

LAST ONE :D Why did you change the wiper blades on a new car?

1) Checked with Toyota and no. No warranty affected

2) Standard (big) RallyFlapz.

3) The brown stuff is some anti rust mixture done by the detailer

4) I bought some wipers in week 3 of my wait and thought “what the hell, I’ll just install”. Even the smallest “mods” makes me bond with the car and make it mine.

Did your RallFlapz did new holes drilled?

The roof looks immeasurably better naked, I really don't like the cheesy wrap at all.
I'd like to wrap it in black like the rear wing. I am not that much a fan of the carbon fibre roof. It's the only part out of it. In my opinion it's kinda out of place. But definitely better stripped than a carbon roof I fake carbon wrapping 😆. No idea what went wrong in the head of toyota that day they decided to go that route...

Snowshoes firmly on! Like the look of the OZ Leggera.
