Yeah same call for me this morning too. I'm going to pass I think.Just got off the phone with Listers Toyota Coventry, they quoted £550 including fitting, so will probably give it a miss since I was half and half with the look. Did ask if they could look into offering the aero stabiliser and the interior panel set, he acknowledged the european countries get more options such as the bumpers and so on, so he will look into seeing if he can get those ordered in too.
I haven't asked them about a spoiler, but discovered today that Martin, the GR specialist at Marshalls Gatwick/Crawley has moved within the Marshall Group to the Lexus brand. No idea who might replace him.Anyone gotten a quote from Marshalls Gatwick? I emailed them but no response
Just tell them to stick it in the boot and save a courierOrdered spoiler. In fairness the parts guy couldn't have been more helpful. Gave me a price for fitting and it wasn't far off £600 so declined and said to order the wing. He said come down to make sure so did and he gave me a full guide on how to install it printed off in colour. What's interesting is he said the part had to be entered manually as nothing showed under the VIN but now today with VIN it's actually showing more parts available. Had a look and it's touch up pens, wheel repair kits, etc. Was hoping for mud flaps.
The wing is stocked in Derby. Shame they can't send the car with it![]()
I'll get it home and get a few coats of Fusso Coat on it ready. One less thing to do when I collect the car. Reading through the guide and it's pretty clear.Just tell them to stick it in the boot and save a courier![]()
Just take it to a friends garage?I've seen the install videos and the only difficulty is making sure you get the holes aligned. But with the supplied template, even that shouldn't be too scary.
What's more annoying is that if we don't see the cars until mid November, it might be hard to find a good time to do it. Obviously needs to be a dry day, and will have to be at the weekend; will be too dark in the evening after work![]()
Of all my friends, I'm actually the only one with a garage....just a normal UK sized garage which is totally inadequate for it's main job of storing a car, so like most garages, it's used for storage and as a workshop.Just take it to a friends garage?
when I didn’t have OSP or a garage, I used to clean the R32 drive over to the local IKEA underground car park and spend a few hours detailing it in the dry, and under lights![]()
That other customer would be me. Are you dealing with Dexter? He seems a nice guy, switched on.Beadles Maidstone just called to advise it’s £290 + VAT. With fitting (2.1 hours) it’s coming in around £650. Said he has been told by his other GR86 customers that prices seem to vary wildly across dealers. I’m a good year or so away from getting my car so just registered my interest that I want a spoiler but will make a decision nearer the time.
Yes, Dexter originally took a deposit hoping to order the car for me. He keeps in touch pretty often and seems a decent guy. Said there are 4 order’s and he has managed to look after all of them, actually asked the other sales staff if he could look after them all. That other customer would be me. Yeah this is why I'm waiting, if its not the same then might as well see what aftermarket options appear tooI am very tempted to get a black spoiler for my Smurf blue car but not sure if the Raven black will match the other black trim or look a little odd, any thoughts?
