GR Yaris Severn Valley Motorsport | What the F***

You think all the members here are racing off to SVM following that video?
The opposite way, maybe.

I know what a good rep SVM have, but this would make me go somewhere else.

Trust takes a lifetime to build and a second to lose. Associating with, well, nuggets like this is NOT a good look imo.

Why would some shit YouTube video put you off using a tuning company if thier product was superior?? SVM seem to know what they’re doing

Not knowing what rotors are on the car doesn't give me much confidence.

He did say he had only been there a short time, but yeah I agree he should of done his homework

No matter how much a forum hates a tuner's work and talks about it there will still be plenty of punters who go there and get ripped off. MRT in Sydney is well known on fb and real forums as the place that will badly service/ruin your WRX/Evo (and anything else you bring in) to the depth of your wallet and beyond, yet there has been a queue out the door for the past 20 years every morning of people who love dodgy work that costs too much. Go figure.

No one appears to be saying that SVM are shit.

I do find it a bit snobby that people are questioning them over the content of the video. SVM aren’t responsible for what comes out of the mouth of this particular YouTuber. Maybe they could have given it some thought beforehand, maybe they were more interested in the huge numbers of viewers and subscribers he has, either way I doubt they’re bothered. Have they all got to be like Harry’s Garage?

To be fair if it was shmee you’d have a different group moaning away, but at least he can keep a sentence clean and doesn’t produce videos encouraging driving recklessly.

I’m not defending this YouTuber at all, but I’m just saying Seven Valley Motorsport are not responsible for his content. They might have given it more thought and perhaps not sent someone that had only been at the company for a week, but this is advertising now.

As for Schmee it’s pretty obvious he did videos on the GRY only if he was given freebies. Might most of his viewers be unaware of the tactics employed by him, other YouTubers and the aftermarket parts suppliers, tuning companies etc? Probably. But ultimately YouTube is a different platform form of advertisement and both parties are getting plenty of exposure.
