GR86 Rubber Floor Mats

Another recommendation for these mats.

I'm not keen on the usual type of rubber mats and although I would prefer carpet mats, I'm really impressed with these. As Stardus. says the fit is perfect and the lip around the edges stops dirt going onto the carpet below.

They're not rubberised but more like a textured plastic on top with a tough carpet-like material on the underside. That's the best way I can describe them!

Really easy to clean too.

Here's a couple of pics...

They do look pretty good

Ordered a set of the eBay (Autostyle) rubber mats whilst I wait on the 3D mats coming. For £35 and with OEM fittings, I have to say they are bloody good vfm!

[Edit] and just like that, at 18:20 today, I get an email to say my 3D Mats have been dispatched … 🤦‍♂️

My Kagu 3D MAXpider car floor liners arrived yesterday. They feel sturdy and the grippy 'spider' underside is wonderful and bristly! That noted, I'll run with the cheap eBay rubber ones until I've finished with the car's upgrades - I then won't have any spanner monkeys climbing in and out and making a mess!

Do these look/feel like they may scratch or scuff easily?

Not really but, it depends on how brutal you are I suppose. The super hard leather heels of your hand made brogues might give cause for concern, as would needle sharp high heels but, for the average Joe I think they should be fine. You can find quite a few videos of them on YouTube if you have hours of your life to lose

My eBay ones arrived today - perfect winter mats for me - cheers to all who recommended them.

I had the same thing happen to me with the 3D mats. They originally told me a 5-6 week lead time for dispatch! Will keep the rubber ones as spare

I find the autostyle ones to ve very practical and good value for money.

Definitely an improvement over the stock carpet ones, if you use your car in all weather.

Although not rubber, I've just found some GR86 3D Kagu floor liners for both the MT and AT that are available from 3D Mats UK. They are also on Facebook here. They are advertised as Waterproof.
The graphic shows 'New Arrival, Pre-order' but, it's the first brand that I've seen that isn't LHD or based in the USA (these are from Taiwan). They're advertised at £139, which is comparable to Tuxmat and WeatherTec. I think I may take a punt ...
EDIT: I've placed an order. Choice of Free Delivery or Flat rate of £5 .. Duh, Free of course!

Hi Sonic,
I have seen these mats and am very interested. Have you received yours yet? It's the end of February and the site still says pre order with a 6 to 8 week delivery window and they want them to be paid upfront. If you have yours and am happy with them I will order.

Yes, mine were received after a few weeks and have been in the car over the Winter period . I don't think the website has been updated to remove the 'pre-order' tag but, I think they are now available as a stock item.
This is the mats as fitted in my GR86:

Speaking of which on closer inspection, @Tuz what is this? And how did you affix it to the mat? Do you think it's a good idea?

I think that's a SS Heel Plate from 'RPM Performance' ? I remember seeing them on his website. They're generally affixed with 3M (VHB) tape. After my previous issues with RPM I can't bring myself to buy anything from them anymore but, aside from my historic bias, they produce some interesting and well made accessories. ;)

Has anyone used these steel plates? I'm worried they may be slippery for my heals.

I have the same 3D Mats now, the heel plate looks like a good option as I feel I'm already wearing the tough plastic away.
On another note, upon closer inspection, @Sonic what are these? Did I miss something in the packaging?

They look like some kind of rubber plugs for floor mats? Where can I get those? @Joolone did you have them?

They came with the mats. Mine were already in the holes out of the box.
