GR86 Rotating tires / TPMS

I think this has been asked before and the answer was that the TPMS recognises wheel position. So you should be good to go....not even sure you need to reset TPMS.
I think this is actually fairly common for most cars. I recently swapped the fronts and rears on the missus's Sorento and it seemed to identify the wheels in their new positions correctly. If you're in any doubt, just let two of the tyres down a fair bit as you swap them to verify the difference.

I move the rears straight to the front, and move the fronts to the opposite rear side every 5,000 miles. Done it twice now and never had to reset the TPMS - it has always recognised correctly the new positions that the sensors are in.

Yeah, that’s what I do…. Just wrote it the wrong way around!
At the risk of teaching Granny some egg sucking, but for those who may be unfamiliar with all this swapping wheels around - remember you can't swap sides if you have wheels fitted with with Asymmetric/directional tyres. They can only be moved front to back etc,.

Directional tyres, yes, they are designed to only rotate one way.
But tyres can be asymmetric without being directional - it's just that they must be fitted with the 'outside' edge visible. F1AS6 can rotate either way.
You are correct. I mis-remembered. It’s my Goodyear 4Seasons that have the [Rotation] markings, not my Goodyear F1AS6. I knew I’d seen it on some of my wheels, I just got the wrong ones
