Hello!

I thought i would make the leap over to the Zoo, as the ads are ruining the experience on the other side!

For all those that don't know me, this my Scarlet Flare GR lol, dealer error got a Road Grime Black one instead!!

Now at 11111 miles lol so nearly up for second service and a wash!!

Back to Currie Motors shortly, as they are closest to my office and in fairness did a nice job of it last time...

Sad black car life during winter times ... Mine does look like this most of the time too. Ceramic coating helps a lot with easy cleaning during winter time.
 
Its back and as black, and as precious as ever!!

Very shiny! Secretly part of me prefers it dirty! But i am sure road grime will return shortly...

Nothing to report, seem to have done a nice job, cleaned inside and out, and a very polite and efficient service team, so no complaints from me!

Apologies i must take me more care when taking pictures, i am truly awful at it!

black cars look great when clean/new but dont stay that way for long!

can remember when i had a black civic company car used to look great when washed but the next day was covered in just general things that fell on it dead bugs/tree sap etc and made it look unclean

yes i know what you mean its my second black car and i vowed i would not have another!

Ironically it was ordered in Red, but cock up by the Dealer and it was black or wait ages for a red one...

I don't regret it as i probably would still be waiting for the red one!!
 
Good to see you here, I remember reading the story about the colour mix up on the other one.
 
Due for 18k mile service in a couple of weeks as on 17.5k now...

Also had a recall notice regarding the pre-collision system, on the basis i have not had any collisions i assuming it works lol

Do get the random brake signal and twice it has tried to put me through the front windscreen, so it will be good to have it checked out!

And yes it is still dirty, so i can check out how good the cleaners are at the dealer!!
 
Got the car back from its service and wash!!

All shiny and black!

And it rains on the way home!!

Road grime is back in an instant!!
 
20,000 miles achieved today, not bad for 1 year and 2 weeks motoring!!

Still makes me smile!!
 
I knew i should have taken pics the moment i picked it up from service!! Yes it rained on way home and now is not clean again lol....
Just had the 4th service now showing 25,225 miles on the clock...

Nothing really to report, tyres down to 3mm left all round, so even wear which is good, so i shall be shopping for some new boots shortly..

Anyone any recommendations on alternatives to the Michelin 4S?

Slight crack in windscreen, note to self to get that fixed before it gets worse... (it won't happen)

Other than that fault less running over the last 16 months
 
Another cracked windscreen?! These things are very prone to them it seems.

In fairness , it is a stone chip, saw the little devil fly up and whack the screen....
 
Must be service time again!! Road grime black is back and 30500 reached better get on the phone and get her booked in!!

Had new tyres fitted, so hopefully nothing else required, concerned that brake disc wear is getting thin but will see what they say!!

Lol whatever they (Toyota) say they won't being doing !!

And yes i will post a picture one day which is more interesting than a concrete car park!!

It is a sad day, Road Grime Black is sold!! It has been a fantastic car and 44k happy miles, but not needed anymore as a daily, as back on the train due to job change.

I will be sad to see it go but it deserves to be driven so a new owner beckons...

It has been fun on here thanks
