GR86 Replacement Tyres & Noise

Hi all
I've started to see that people are replacing their standard tyres with other makes / types and wondered if anyone had found a significant reduction in road noise in doing so? Reports that the Michelin PS4 tyre is a noisy one but on the tyre labels its no louder than any other sport tyre so I was wondering whether anyone had found an improvement since changing their PS4's to something else?
 
I moved to Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 6. Pretty sure they are quieter (and a touch more compliant) at 35PSI than the PS4s were at 32PSI.
Disclaimer, I did also change the size though; moved from 215/45 to 225/45, so they are ever so slightly taller.
 
Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 6 here too.
I'm on different wheels and kw coilovers so not apples to apples. 245 40 17 on 17x9 RPF1s.

The way I see it a 245 tyre should be louder but they're loads quieter than the Michelin.
