GR Yaris Rear left outer cv joint

Hello,

I have unfortunately ripped the cv joint of the rear left driveshaft on wheel side (from what I understand, the outer cv joint ?)

After discussion with toyota, they tell me that only the cv joint on differential side is available as spare part and I have to change the whole driveshaft ( 850€ at toyota without labour).

Do you know if it is possible to find the CV joint on wheel side ? If I'm not clear I'll post pictures...

What do you mean by "ripped"... is that a mechanical failure? Or just the rubber-boot ripped for ex?

No outboard CV or Boot Kit in the Parts Cat.
You could pick up a complete drive shaft direct from Japan for around USD 280, then add whatever tax you guys get slugged for plus shipping.

I'm not familiar with the rears yet, but having done the research both fronts are full driveshaft replacements so highly possible they're correct

What a pain, so expensive for a small rip into the CV boot ...

Maybe the boot from the other side has the same dimensions and can be fitted.
