Just had the GRY serviced - 4th year. I then realised that on the third it just stated "Service & MOT". For many decades I used to receive a separate document - MOT certificate. I have received nothing this week and last year. I know they can now be viewed online but don't MOT centres give paper documents out anymore. They used to show the exhaust readings for my Celica about 6 years ago.
Does everyone not get any paperwork these days or is it just my RRG dealership?
I presume if you had any advisories you would then get something written down.

It doesn't give exhaust numbers which you used to get. They must have stopped reporting them.
I just wondered if it was now normal not to get one.

Finally solved the puzzle why I didn't get the MOT certificate and emissions printout. Three days after the major service (4 Yrs) and MOT on Monday I decided to print out the MOT for my records so went into DVLA site. The MOT showed as expired so I went down to the main dealer - in my Yaris cross, who I have had excellent service for 22 years and low and behold............. they forgot to do the MOT. After a few choice words and many appologies from the manager they sent someone up to collect it and then deliver it back. I informed the head office who also used some off the cuff choice words when I told them so someone at the dealership will have had a bad day that hopefully they will never forget.
This dealership has been excellent for over two decades never letting me down and instantly fixing things on warranty. Everyone is allowed a bad day. Everyone makes mistakes. Its what you do when it happens that matters.
The service manager is a relatively young person so will have learnt a big lesson yesterday. In my 46 year working life I made lots of mistakes, some big ones so I am OK to give them a second chance and no grudges held. It is still a very good dealership in my eyes. They serviced the GRY and put the full engine oil spec on the document to show it is the one others on here state it must be.
So, an annoying thing that happened but all turned out well and I took it up into the Yorkshire dales today and what a lovely car it is for those type of roads. That engine is getting smoother to use each year.
