Has anyone noticed the power steering assist is very strong just as the car stops? If you have the wheel turned, just as you drop below 5mph all resistance from the wheel is removed, which causes me to then turn it slightly further.

Not really a problem as such, but it does feel a bit weird. I presume it may be to help with parking, and with steering the wheels while stationary.

Not noticed it to be honest, but does sound like a feature rather than a problem.

The car does manoeuvre very nicely in tight spots, the turning circle is far better than my JCW Mini that was like an oil tanker in comparison!

Mini that bad? I thought the GRY was pretty bad, our much larger ID4 turns on a dime in comparison....

It's a feature for around town, low speed, maneuvers... :) (y)

The ID4 is renowned for it's tight turning circle, there are articles on it.

However, it's 10.2m compared to the 10.8m for the GRY - so the GRY isn't that bad. Saying that, it reckons the JCW is 10.8m as well - and I can assure you that mine needed a lot more space than the GRY!

Yep spotted that.

My RS Twingo has a similar system where the steering is only assisted under a certain speed
