GR Yaris Possible to order in Sweden 14/12-22

Life is unfair, that's a lot of mods before it's what I paid (with the exchange rate 1,5 year ago) ๐Ÿ˜…

How long are they saying?
Dealer says it should be here by December (hopeful!) but I believe the Toyota ordering system is saying April 2024 and that was what was on my offer. Im in no rush and it will soon fly by. Ordered one in pure white with Circuit pack. My toddler will love this thing for the journey to and from kindergarten (and so will I!)

Something doesnโ€™t stack up here, so where are the orders for between April 2023 and 2024 thatโ€™s 9,000 cars potentially yet all UK cars will be delivered by April 2023.

Guessing these maybe for Europe? I was pretty surprised I could order one this late in Estonia. Iโ€™m a Brit living here currently so thought I had missed the boat.. screen shot below from the Toyota order with unconfirmed eta

9000 is a years worldwide supply give or take a few with the UK the largest market outside of Japan youโ€™d expect a large percentage of that to go there as it just hasnโ€™t been as well received in large parts of Europe (I believe due to taxes).

Ive just crunched the numbers on the data of cars registered around the world (with japan a bit of an unknown) tied in with UKโ€™s last car due in April as mentioned, which would put a production run of 31 months (assumed August 2020 to Feb 2023) and at the assumed rate of 750 cars per month (Toyota originally said 1,100 but chip shortages and shut downs dropped this and has tied in with vins arriving from memory) would put us very close to that magical 25,000 delivered within months of today.

Will be interesting to see what happens in the next few months, and hopefully some more clarity from Toyota.

I don't think it necessarily means UK orders have to be going that far, we sold out allocations, and nicked allocations apparently from other countries... realistically, every real UK order has been well on the books for over a year and a half now... unsold allocations in other countries might well still be possibly, they are just right on the end of the list. End of UK deliveries doesn't imo mean end of worldwide deliveries, it's likely that winding up the tail will pull in delivery dates too.

Unless we've seriously underestimated the appeal, which I somewhat doubt... and given the regulations, and amount of more performant cars Toyota can manufacturer I'd say any selling of GR86 and GR Corollas worldwide pretty much necessitates no more GR Yaris to be built... I'd say a special edition, but we've already had the absolute halo of the GRMN Yaris anyway.

Fleet averages were what I was specifically talking about (and they are getting tougher this year)... Harry goes over it at the start of this video.

Hi!
My first post here, but want to tell that it is still possible to order a GR Yaris Circuit Pack in Sweden. Thought it was to late, since I have read that the order book was closed in other countries.

So this post is most to inform other Swedes that it is still not to late, my order at 14/12-22 has an estimated delivery in June 23.
