Hey everyone!

Looking to add spacers on to the OZ wheels but unsure of which and what size......so wondered if anyone has fitted spacers with OZ Racing Superturismo Evoluzione WRC or OZ Superturismo Aero wheels?

I gather the OEM BBS alloys need approx 21.5mm spacer for the stud to sit in the back of the wheel, but not sure if the OZ wheels have a similar, shallower, or deeper space.

Thanks.

Ben

Hello!

The only real limitation of cars having studs and nuts instead of bolts, is it makes it difficult to run spacers.

Different designs of wheel shouldn’t have notably different depths for the stud protrusion to secure the nut to.

You need to have a minimum depth of thread with which to secure the nut onto, from memory the advice is to have a minimum of the diameter of the fastener, for the nut to secure onto. Standard engagement is usually in the region of 20mm, so beyond a 5mm spacer is not something I would recommend to anyone.

I don’t know the GR Yaris specs well enough to confirm exactly what you’ll get away with, but it all depends what size spacers you were looking at, if it’s the kind that has additional studs fitted to allow a significant width increase.

Thanks for your reply, made me realize I didn't clarify that the spacers would be the bolt-on ones, and the clearance I was wondering about is from the original studs as they are a touch longer than 20mm - and they just sit in the recess of the BBS wheel. For sure on the original studs, I think 5-7mm was mentioned as the max.

Ah ok, I know what you mean.

Yes exactly! Just trying to find it if the OZ wheels have similar, and if so, how deep, recesses...or are they OZ wheels?
The above looks a lot deeper to me than the stock BBS (which is good).
