GR86 "One more sleep..."

Andy, I echo all the sentiments above. Really sorry to hear that the GR86 isn't right for you. I hope you can stick around

Hi Andy, I kind of felt this was coming from your recent posts. โ˜น๏ธ

Sorry to hear that it isn't for you, especially with all the input and dedication that you have had to this forum. ๐Ÿ‘

Maybe you might find solace in something like the soon to be released Honda Jazz SPORT? ๐Ÿ˜‰

@AndyRC sorry to hear it didn't work for you. Hopefully you'll stick around these parts for a little bit, you should enjoy the fruits of your labour on the forum.

Sorry to hear that the car wasn't right for you @AndyRC , particularly in all you've done to cultivate this forum.

Hope you do stick around - all the best.

You don't have to go anywhere @AndyRC ; this fine site's very own homepage says it's for people "interested in Toyota GR performance cars" and "fans" thereof.

You don't have to own one!

And you have actually owned one, albeit briefly...

It was good to read your post @Silver Fox .

As you know I do not own a rare and beautiful GR86 but I have enjoyed reading all the posts on this forum and I have shared the forum members journey to ownership.

I have read of the frustrations borne out by the online ordering process and the disappointment of further delays to the joy of taking delivery.

@AndyRC, I echo the sentiment of @Silver Fox, your contribution to this forum has been significant and the creation of the GR86 register was very impressive work.

It would be good to see you remain an important member of this great forum.

Sad? Or would you be getting a blue rinse to go with the car?
T'was a possibly way too subtle Honda 'Jazz' 'joke' (I use the term very loosely) - the Jazz would make me feel kind of blue .

No need to get my coat I'm already wearing it

After a few days of reflection, the GR86 was never going to work for me ride wise. THE most annoying thing was the lack of an automatic demonstrator, despite Toyota having one for training technicians. I donโ€™t drive manual by choice, and without starting a debate, the clutch on the manual is ๐Ÿ’ฉ , if it was great there wouldnโ€™t be a thread on here about making it better ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ, and the gear change isnโ€™t that great either โ˜น๏ธ If you love your clutch/change great ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ , itโ€™s not a debate I ๐Ÿคฌhated it and took the demo car back ASAP.

THE only thing I disliked was the ride , just too stiff for me.

The good news is JRT Hull have redeemed themselves and Iโ€™d definitely buy a car from them again , Iโ€™ll never buy a Toyota online though.

To conclude the GR86 is a great little car , just not right for me, no point in pretending it is.

I hope everyone enjoys their car and Iโ€™ll always have a word with an owner when I see one.

Keep things friendly and good humoured, lifeโ€™s too short for bitching on the tinterweb ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž

I just wanted to thank @AndyRC publicly for everything that he has done with the GR86 community and help making GR-Zoo what it is today.

All very disappointing what's gone on with your 86 journey and I wish you all the best for the future. The door will always remain open should you choose to buy a GR Celica... o_O

Chris

Thanks Chris , the forum is in good hands and Iโ€™m sure will thrive. I will pop in from time to time to see how things are going, enjoy those GRs
