It was good to read your post @Silver Fox .

As you know I do not own a rare and beautiful GR86 but I have enjoyed reading all the posts on this forum and I have shared the forum members journey to ownership.

I have read of the frustrations borne out by the online ordering process and the disappointment of further delays to the joy of taking delivery.

@AndyRC, I echo the sentiment of @Silver Fox, your contribution to this forum has been significant and the creation of the GR86 register was very impressive work.

It would be good to see you remain an important member of this great forum.

T'was a possibly way too subtle Honda 'Jazz' 'joke' (I use the term very loosely) - the Jazz would make me feel kind of blue .

After a few days of reflection, the GR86 was never going to work for me ride wise. THE most annoying thing was the lack of an automatic demonstrator, despite Toyota having one for training technicians. I don’t drive manual by choice, and without starting a debate, the clutch on the manual is , if it was great there wouldn’t be a thread on here about making it better , and the gear change isn’t that great either If you love your clutch/change great , it’s not a debate I hated it and took the demo car back ASAP.

THE only thing I disliked was the ride , just too stiff for me.

The good news is JRT Hull have redeemed themselves and I’d definitely buy a car from them again , I’ll never buy a Toyota online though.

To conclude the GR86 is a great little car , just not right for me, no point in pretending it is.

I hope everyone enjoys their car and I’ll always have a word with an owner when I see one.
