Got a chance to get both cleaned up and together for first time. Noticed you sit as high in the 205 and it has a lot less head room than GR. It does have superior visibility though.
Old habits die hard! My 1991 XR3i was also black! It's a surprise how small these old cars are but didn't realise it at the time. I recently parked next to a last version Capri which was the first new car I bought in about 1982. I couldn't believe how small it now looks even up against my GRY. Same goes with the XR3i I also bought. They didn't seem small at the time but do now. I always bought new cars that were in their last few months of production due to the deals and all the problems were solved plus they came with lots of extras thrown in to make them special editions. I loved that red XR3i so no surprise I went for the red GRY.
Sorento Green was absolutely beautiful when the sun caught it.I remember my 1.9 205 fondly. Was in Sorrento Green with full grey leather and felt like a rocket ship in the early 90s! Such a light car.
Way less crash protection etc in those days. It's a surprise how small these old cars are but didn't realise it at the time....
Yep - often looked black with it being such a dark shade, but looked amazing in the sun.Sorento Green was absolutely beautiful when the sun caught it.
I had a black 1.6, then replaced it with the Sorento Green 1.9 - loved them both dearly![]()
I think the only nod to safety was ABS back then.Way less crash protection etc in those days.
And that’s the pleasure - feeling fast without going fast.Surprisingly still comfortable to drive. Power steering, central locking and electric windows. All still works too. Feels fast with out going fast. Lol.
