GR86 Nurburgring Lap 8.03.5 BTG

I was this week on the Nurburgring with my GR86.

Was hard to get a free lap always traffic.

But the first lap i managed a 8.06.5 and the second lap a 8.03.5 with some traffic. Under 8 should be possible in a totally free lap.

My car has

1 recaro race seat
Eibach pro kit springs
8x17 wheels
Tyres 215/45 Nankang AR1
Orginal brakes with RP1 brake pads and dot 5.1 brake fluid

No tune and orginal intake and exhaust.

Nice work, there were a few 3rd to 4th’s and straight back to 3rd that would have wasted a few seconds.

3 minutes from the end you seemed a bit aggressive with the red car, overtake and the dropped loads of speed, I assume with the red car 5m behind.

Yeah the red car cost my time for sure. Was exact the wrong place!

Sometime i need to shift up because otherwise rev limiter!

That was a pleasure to watch and what a great camera angle!

You seen fairly relaxed behind the wheel with a light grip on the wheel which must really help.

The hammering noises round the karussel made me wince.

The noise from those Nankangs is really apparent.

The car seems to top out at 200kph on the uphill sections. It's those sections where lots of power really make a difference.

FYI AdvEvo is a good amateur racing driver and rally driver, drifting instructor amongst others. And he has faster (racing) cars but really likes the GR86 anyway
