Don't know what the consensus is about a GR trip to the 'ring in 2023 ? Normally a Friday travel, Saturday, Sunday, Monday travel home sort of format. I'd have to wait until the New Year, when the TF dates are published, until a suitable weekend is found. Just trying to find out if anyone is interested?
(I've been about 8 times now, took my last laps in August this year but that was in the family SUV)
Accommodation is normally very reasonable and the journey is often as much fun as the track. Sometimes a 2/3 lap experience at Spa can be incorporated, but they seem to be limited. Beer & Pizza is normally involved but Germany tends to do that very well.
Also, wer ist dabei?

Seems the last time I was there in a Toyota was happy !

Didn't manage to go this year, but normally would aim for a mid-week trip and do the evening sessions just to get some clear laps.

It can be fun to go at weekends when it is very busy, but queuing for 45mins just to get off the track can be a bit tiresome :)

Apparently it is better now with the newer circulation pattern around the car parks, but I haven't done a busy weekend for a few years.

Been a couple of times and it's always great fun. We tended to stay out of the way a bit in a lovely appt in Uerfeld (and enjoyed the countryside before and after the N24 itself) and had a thoroughly fab time.
Already going to Le Mans and the Rugby world cup next year so i'm all out of holiday and the OH would kill me :ROFLMAO:

@chopper602 is this a GR86 exclusive possible trip to the Nurburgring?

It's more likely to get additional input and support if it's forum wide in the GR Zone.
Let me know whether the thread should stay exclusively for GR86 owners or be moved so the entire forum can participate. (y)

It’s only a hop, skip and a jump from my house so will happily meet up there if the date is amenable

May be up for this, already going for the N24 but hopefully scrounge enough together to go again

My GR86 is due mid February, so I'd like to leave it until I have delivery before firming up anymore details, if that is Ok.

I can give hints and tips on lines and etiquette during Touristfahrten if required. This would be my ninth-ish trip

I would be up for this, i last went in 2005 in my sierra cosworth.

It has been a while

It's very different now! I first went in 2006/7 and after about 4pm you had the track almost to yourself. It's constantly busy now, all the time.

My first time round was in an A-reg Cavalier in 1985/6. At that time you could enter the track at Adenau.

I wasn’t driving though, it was my old man’s company car!

Last time I went Adenau was still an option but as of 2022 it's now not. Used to be useful when you have a weekly pass to use the 'ring to nip around to Adenau for lunch!

It used to be bloody dangerous after hoofing it down from the hairpin at Wehrseifen only to be met with some idiot crawling out the entrance there.
Glad it's closed!
