GR Yaris Motul Gear 300

So the Toyota LV, LT, and LX oil, which I used last time, has skyrocketed and getting hard to obtain... Like they want ¥6,000/L and ¥3,000 freight. So ¥9,000 or £45/L... Yea, no.

I can get the Motul Gear 300 75W-90 for ¥4,700/L or £23/L.

Says GL4 and GL5, safe for yellow metals...but it's a "race oil," and I've heard it makes the transmission "notchy" when cold. Wondering if anyone else has used it, and your experience.

Any experience with Motul gear 300? Planned to test it also? Got difficulties getting 1st and 2nd on after track session. On track gears were fine but apparently box heated up in pits? after few shifts gears returned normal.

I know Toyota uses separate part numbers for these:

Transfer box 08885-80160
Rear differential 08885-81070

But aren't they essentially the same 75W-85 fluid?
