GR Yaris Mods / Changes you regret in doing

On my previous car (Mk3 Focus RS) I fitted an unresonated turbo back exhaust. Was stupidly loud on cold start and used to loudly pop and bang even on very light throttle. Was fun for a day then embarassing as couldn’t even pootle along in traffic without it sounding like a gun salute. Got the resonated section fitted a few days later and made a huge difference. Lesson learned which is why I have a very subtle HKS Legamax on the GR now even if that is a little too quiet tbh.
 
Steering wheel spacer for daily driving, only because I have issues reaching lights and wiper stalks.
TGR Shifter Riser, only a trigger happy moron like me doesn't double check will it fit well with LHD - nothing wrong with the product itself, it's very nice actually.

I think its one of the best mods for the car. Makes car more tossable with better reach to steering wheel. I'm 191cm tall so this helps alot getting the wheel close enough.

Give it time. While you might never get used to it, my experience with a similar mod in another car was similar to @Onehp 's above.

I got so used to it, that normal distance started feeling too close.
 
To me it seems that the stock version is just about right for the majority of people who use it as a road car only.
The only changes I can think of off top of my head that Toyota should have designed better are the mirror, seat hight adjustmentand and a touch more growl from the stock exhaust which would have saved a lot of us £1k or more if it had been a little better. To me, the stock car is just about right and the changes to make it better are just design alterations at very little cost at manufacture.

For me the lights are the weakest link. Planning on getting a light bar fitted
