GR Yaris Max USB size in GB?

You question is far from specific. If you mean what size stick will the head unit read then I have no issues with 32GB. The car remembers where it finished when I shut down and picks up from there. I use flac files and 32GB stores music I like to listen to in the car. I tried 64GB which has pretty much all my music and it resets every time. The manual lists the maximum number of files and folders. I put the exact same files on the 64 as the 32 and it reset as if the stick was full. have no idea why the 64 does what it does but as the 32 works I have left that in there and put up with missing some files.

Thanks for that, I have 3 x 64GB with MP3s on them and wanted to use a single 256GB instead since we only have one USB in the GRY.
The restarting is annoying and thats how it is with these in my subaru. It will remember the song its playing on restart, but has to go back and re index the whole USB stick before it will be able to play the next track, instead it defaults to the first track and leaves you there from then on. Over the years ive got a bit bored of those first tracks. hmm... My 2012 VW managed this without a problem, a 2016 subaru not so much... I'd hoped the GRY would be better.
I expect that some USB stick brands work better than others as well, like in cameras/sat navs, but have no expertise in this subject. That might be your issue?
I wasnt aware the manual had listed the max files/folders. I'll look into that as Im sure its going to be a problem with the amount of music I want it to 'see'.

I use a 256GB without any issues. Just make are you use FAT formatting

On Mac you can do this easily, but if using Windows you can't format disks larger than 32GB with FAT32 using the built-in format tool anymore. You could use the command line to do it but an easier option is to download a free app called Rufus, instructions for doing this can be found here: https://troypoint.com/usb-fat32-format/#256GB_USB_Drive
Just keep in mind that formatting removes all data on the disk so you'll need to copy your music back on to it afterwards.

Can someone let me know the pages in the manual where this is listed?
I ask as in my Aussie ICE manual I cannot see this info. Ive found the section all about using a USB but no specs.
I assume the Aussie cars unit is likely different to other markets hence thinking the manual might give me a definitive that i could use and also report back here.

Ok, Ive been hitting the net hard and finally found the key to locating info I wanted, thanks to the US based Toyota Highlander website in the end... yeah, who knew?! 
So, the info/specs about how many folders and how many files is actually not in the USB section, its in the Tips section... just after the info about what iphones work with the ICE in the 'Operating' section
I was looking for the generic location as I assume that the manuals are device / country specific and pages and section numbering would differ. I felt that if i could find the generic place that Toyota chose to locate the info then others who come along later would be able to do the same, no matter where they are based, as the info would follow the same order in the books for our cars.
Anyway, the USB info might be the same for all this era Toyotas, but it might differ for you... for me, with my Aus Rallye, the USB info is:
USB 2.0 480mbps
FAT16/32
Max Folders 3000
Max Files 9999
Files Per folder 255
Max nested Folder layers 8, recommended is 2
What is interesting is that if i read this right, if you attach a USB hub you can increase these limits as it will 'see' a 2nd card (youre still limited per card of course to the above maximums). However, dont get too excited... Only two tho, not more.
