With next year being the centenary of the 24 hours of Le Mans, how many other endurance fans are planning on going?

We went for the first time in 2019, went all in with stickers on the car and were staying in-field at Porsche Curves.

More of a "see you there" thread, than a group trip - don't fancy organising something like that!

Tried to book some accommodation in the south of Le Mans (within tram / walking distance) a few weeks ago only to be told they're not accepting bookings yet - must try again soon as I can imagine they'll all be full up soon!

Never know - my GR86 might have arrived by then! :ROFLMAO:

It'd be a good road trip for the 86!
Shocked that some places aren't letting people book early - they know the dates of the race

We just successfully booked a house to stay in so it is possible!

It may help that the better half is french and does all the correspondence and chat 🤣

Will be going in '23 but likely not in the Yaris. We are doing both N24 and LM24 and I'll probably take the Yaris to the ring, there's better roads and I'd rather only one 1000 mile trip in the car to be honest :D

Although it's looking less likely by the day!

Right, I would like to book Le Mans 23, but never been before. Any recommendations where to get tickets. Want to drive down in the GR and camp, Porsche curves would be nice. What kind of cost and anywhere people can recommend?

Seen this but unsure if that is actually the weekend ticket or not?!

It is going to be a busy one so it is probably worth joining the ACO to get the early bird tickets for camping (they are on sale on the 29th of Nov). It's about 60 Euros to join but you do get a discount on the tickets etc which makes it about worthwhile. I just get the tickets through ACO and then book the crossing seperately, saves nearly £100 per person.

We are aiming to camp in Houx because showers and electric, but Porsche curves is another good one.

If you want hassle free camping etc then I'd recommend Travel Destinations, they are now part of Motorsport TV which seems to have shifted their focus more towards F1 sadly, but they will still be doing Le Mans packages.

Once you've done Le Mans, I'd really recommend the Nurburgring 24, it's a blast.

I've done N24 a few times - will be interesting to see how Le Mans compares. Being at Adenau in the small hours with drunk techo Germans is an experience that's for sure!

Anyone else get their camping tickets this morning? I logged on a bit late at 9:45 and got some for Beausejour, not Houx that I wanted but at least I got some, looks like all campsites are sold out now! Hopefully that's just the early bird tickets and there will be some more available for regular punters

Beausejour was all that was available for me too. All booked though now

Yaris for me mate, but I doubt I will be in it for Le Mans. I'll be in Beausejour campsite though, keen to have a nose round a GR86 :)
We've gone posh and rented an apartment in Le Mans itself - can't be doing with all that camping lark anymore :ROFLMAO:

100% yes to a meet up - but I will be in the van! We're with the PH lot on Bleu Nord

So with the help of Matt I managed to go to Le Mans this year and it was AMAZING!!! really encourage people to try and go! Tried to document it as much as possible and made the first part of that here:

It’s a crazy place, unlike any other. You captured it well.

Nice to see my motor made it into the vid too 😎
