Event Japfest Silverstone 10th April 2022

Hi All. Do you know if there is V Power or similar nearby the Hotel or Silverstone?
Is anyone taking fuel with them and how much fuel do you reckon a 20 minute Track Session will use?

I'm a bit worried as I am down in Rainy Cornwall. It's a long drive home.

Cheers
Mike
There's a BP less then 10 mins from the circuit entrance (actually one in both directions - that is towards M1 or M40). I'd assume the 20 min session will drain 1/4 tank or so

I used this Shell station a few weeks back - just off the A43.

I'l have a mug.

While we're playing at Swop Shop, I have a MK1 DTUK box if anyone's interested. Could bring it with me on the day

How much are you asking for both? Would like to support (y)
Thanks @gari

We have a small number of mugs available (7 sets of 3). If you would like some then drop me a direct message.

We are asking for a minimum donation of £8 for 1 mug, £15 for 2 & £21 for 3.

A quick reminder to those who are going to Japfest on Sunday about driving standards in and around the Silverstone area.
We are all grown-ups, so please don't be one of the morons that you see leaving an event on YouTube acting like they are Ken Block.

Hope you all have a great day and remember to visit our display and say hello.

Think I've messed up somewhere as didn't get the usual vehicle pass that you hang off your mirror. Will I end up in public parking?

Looks right to me Lauren

I didn't get the car pass in the mail yesterday with the tickets, it arrived in an earlier email 31st March, could be worth checking back in the inbox

Some people will be there buffing. Some people do a full on wash when they get there. Others leave theirs filthy. Whatever you do you won't be the only one. Personally I clean it a couple of days before and then stick it in the garage. It will get some muck on it on the way there but I won't be spending time going over it when I get there.
Or like last year after been targeted by a flying dinosaur lots of cloths and detail spray needed, every single panel was hit😱😭 on the hotel carpark.

Having exhibited my classic at the NEC on 3 occasions , I feel your pain. I ended up filling two 5ltr garden sprayers with water . One containing water and car shampoo, the other one just water for rinsing and lots of clean micro fibre cloths.
Sorry for the late advice but next time you will turn up in a show stopping car

For those staying at the hotel. We'll meet at Maccies which is round the rear end of the hotel/stadium, just drive round to the left of the main entrance and follow it round, you can't miss it.

We will leave from Maccies to convoy up to Silverstone at 7am. Most of us will be in Maccies from 6am onwards for those who want some brekkie/hangover cure. ;)
