GR Yaris How do you get in ?

Keep in mind that the whole car (except the roof lol) is built around high seat ergonomics

Lowering seat much may:
- increase reach to steering wheel, forcing one to sit more upright (if reach is already maxed out before)
- significantly reduce rear passenger space (some people use them rear seats...)
- possibly reduce pedal ergonomics (had this on previous car)
- steering wheel possibly covering upper part instrument cluster

YMMV, just a little heads up (pun intended) on possible downsides

I've grown to quite like the highish seat position. Less good for male passengers, but my girlfriend really likes that she can actually see out of the car better. Visibility is pretty cracking barring the obvious mirror issue, the main drawback is a low car behind really looks like it's right up your back bottom.

Had an early MX5 behind my the other day on traffic and the only bit of the car I could see was the top of his windscreen.

I just felt uncomfortable in the cramped space the car had to offer with the stock seats. However, the car has now become undrivable for one of my friends who is on the smaller side so I agree that everyone's ergonomic needs are different.

LHD car, so right foot in, slide by bolster being careful not to squash it, plonk arse down, left leg in...

I wouldn’t want the seat any lower, the high scuttle already means keeping the kerb in view in tight turns is not always possible

BTW, when snow it's arse first on seat, kick feet together to shed snow outside car, then rotate the whole real estate on seat to take place behind the wheel.

I know it’s an old post but this made me laugh I’ve kinda compromised mine for my husband he’s just short of 6ft I’m 5ft 2 in pole position on bride runners the perfect position for me was in the higher slot on the recaro Abe mount it made me lower than standard but still high enough if that makes sence , but my husband was very uncomfortable in the higher slot as it brought him too far forward on the rails , he was quite happy with standard seats tbh, but it’s not his car it’s mine so I compromised and I have the seats in the lowest position but tilted forwards , so the low position on the tilt , that’s a lot better for him but if it was his car I think he would ideally need to be tilted back , so would tilt in the higher position like yours, I actually love the lower driving position for driving , but manoeuvring round carparks im always aware I can’t see curbs , but the best thing for me with buckets is the way im angled for the clutch , and that’s high and the lower position , I was never 100 percent in standard seats I was too far forwards knees hitting cowing and that was to reach the clutch , so I used to drive it a notch back but I was kinda reaching then and sat at traffic lights for anytime I’d have to take my foot off even for a few seconds it was quite uncomfortable tbh , I drove a Mates Gr a few weeks ago I dont miss that standard position

I totally get where you're coming from. The standard seating position seems to be fine for a lot of people but if it isn't it's a bit of a nightmare

My solution for smaller drivers is to give them a cushion to sit on, I kid you not

How do you get into your GR4 ?
Bum first or head first ?
Now this puzzles me, as im pretty short in height. I always enter a car bum first, i put my bum on the seat and then my head swings into the car.
With the GR4 my head always hit the roof while getting in, it does my head in ( so to speak)
The other entry which is a bit more faffy - is to head in first and then climb into the car.

How do you enter your ride ?
