I tried removing the handbrake knob mechanism but couldn't figure it out without fear of braking clips.

If someone has a Toyota-tech.eu subscription, please tell me if this info is available there (not so sure so not subscribing, yet).

I want to assemble a handbrake lever and the part supplier has difficulty explaining how to do it...

Got me one of these (mine will look better), whole button assy needs to come out somehow. But still want to be able to get it back in, otherwise it's easy...

The repair manuals in tech-stream are what the dealer use - I've yet to find a topic that does not have a paint by numbers instruction set

Whole lever+knob assy looks like it's not intended to be serviceable but I'll have a look anyway just in case.

As I suspected, (*3) = single sub-assy not intended to be serviceable. Let's see if anyone has hands-on experience....

Figured it out after finding out the price of failing (~230€ and 3 weeks delivery time)

Wiggle/pull of oe grip (rubber), use soapy water if help needed.

With flathead screwdriver split open the exposed lever and keep it open by having something jammed inbetween.

Find the spring and push it out of its seat (protrusion to the right of handle).

Without pressure, the black part of the button slides back, and with a two flat head the very small tabs can be pushed carefully so to seperate them.
Now the parts come off the metal rod/actuator.

Easy when you figure it out ;)

Hello
I hope your doing well , I recently bought the sccara73 handbrake and I was dissmantelling the handbrake I removed the button with the spring, however when I was returning the spring inside the handbrake lever the spring wasn't fixed and it went inside the handbrake, did this happen with you is there a stoper for the spring inside the lever that I've might missed?
thank you . @Onehp

In the grey pressed metal halves that make the lever itself, there is just a tab/hook (pressed from the same sheet) where the spring rests against. So no loose part. Iirc.
