Hi everyone,
First post here! I’m based in Tokyo, Japan, and currently waiting for my GR Yaris.
I’ve ordered a Japanese-spec 2026 GR Yaris RZ “High performance” with the Aero Performance package, a six-speed manual gearbox, and Precious Metal paint.
My dealer currently estimates delivery in late February 2027. There’s still a while to go, so I’ve been passing the time reading your posts and looking at photos of your cars. Needless to say, I’m really looking forward to getting behind the wheel!
Over the years, I’ve owned rally-inspired cars including an ST165 Celica GT-Four and a Pulsar GTI-R. This time, I chose the GR Yaris because I wanted another manual car that I could really enjoy driving. I’m planning to keep this one for a long time.
Reading the order and delivery discussions here, I’ve found it interesting how much the buying process and waiting times vary from country to country. I thought I’d share my experience in Japan as another point of comparison.
For those who have also ordered an Aero Performance model, what delivery estimates have you been given? If you’ve already taken delivery, I’d love to hear how long you waited.
